Welcome to the real estate recap for the month that was in Lawndale CA.  Take a look at the properties that sold in  Lawndale CA during the month of November 2022.  November was a fairly slow month in terms of the number of home sales but prices were impressive once again.

There were 9 on MLS home sales during the month compared with 7 in October.  View the current Lawndale homes for sale.

The average “asking” price was $815,167 with the average sold price of $801,833 which was up considerably from the avereage price of $657,140 in October and $747,500 in September.

The average price per foot was $664and homes averaged 35 days on market before going into escrow.

15506 Gerkin Hits the Market in El Camino Village

Like everywhere else in the South Bay the number of new listings in the past few months has slowed to a trickle.  It’s nice to see a new single family home listing hit the market in El Camino Village  This latest addition in the Lawndale portion of El Camino Village is a smaller 3 bed/ 1 bath SFR located at 15506 Gerkin.  As Gerkin backs up to the tree tunnel street of Cordary, you get to enjoy the cool tree (and hawks!) without being in the shade all of the time.  The home is fairly original but  seems to be in good condition and has the additon of air conditioning and and newer electric panel.  The outdoor areas are great with a grassy back yard and covered side patio.

El Camino Village and Bodger Park September Home Sales

Take a look below at the homes that sold in the El Camino Village and Bodger Park neighborhoods of Hawthorne, Lawndale and Gardena.  It was a pretty big month for real estate in the community with 9 on MLS home sales during September.   The highest priced home sale of the month was a 3 bed/2 bath remodeled single family home at 15606 Faysmith that was listed at $899,000 and sold for $940,000.   The average “list” price was $746,111 with the average sales price at $753,679 meaning that most homes sold above asking price. El Camino College Goes to Online Classes For The Immediate Future

El Camino College joined the long list of other area schools closing their doors.  Information from the ECC website:

Classes are cancelled March 13-17 to provide faculty with time to move their lecture classes online. When class resumes on March 18, check with your instructor(s) for direction on accessing course material. All lecture classes will be moved online by March 20.

El Camino College is a two-year public community college located in the unincorporated area of Los Angeles County known as Alondra Park Hartnell Collegeor El Camino Village.  Located in the heart of the South Bay the college was proposed and agreed upon by several South Bay cities and K-12 districts to serve students of the area.
