El Camino College Goes to Online Classes For The Immediate Future

El Camino College joined the long list of other area schools closing their doors.  Information from the ECC website:

Classes are cancelled March 13-17 to provide faculty with time to move their lecture classes online. When class resumes on March 18, check with your instructor(s) for direction on accessing course material. All lecture classes will be moved online by March 20.

El Camino Village Home Sales and Home Prices in 2019

It was a solid year for the small community of El Camino Village in Lawndale and Gardena with 47 home sales during the year. The median list price was $640,000 and the median sold price was $645,000 indicating a very strong sellers market. On average homes sold for higher than the asking price. The median price per foot was $482.10 for the year. See also the 2019 real estate recap for Bodger Park in Hawthorne which is a very similar neighborhood.

Lawndale Home Sales for September 2019

Lawndale saw another solid month in the real estate market in September with 10 sold homes.   Median list price for the month was $644,500 and the median sales price was $633,000.  The lowest price of the month was $304,000 for a 1 bedroom condo on Marine and the highest priced sale of the month was $760,000 for a larger 4 bedroom home on Floorwood.   Of the 10 homes that were sold only one was in El Camino Village and as is often the case was the highest priced home of the month.

The El Camino Village area has a lot to offer.  Two of the highlights are the Alondra Park Golf Course and Alondra Park…both in the heart ofAlondra Park golfing near El Camino Village the community.

Alondra Golf Course is an 18-hole regulation golf course that plays 6,615 yards from the championship tees.   There also is an 18-hole par 3 course (2,252 yards) with small, elevated greens.
